Git Along Little Dogies
California
So you know Dan has cowboy roots, right? Grandma Mamie was born in Jefferson, Texas in the 1880s and her father travelled the state on horseback selling all sorts of things and dispensing medical advice courtesy of a mail order medical degree - a cowboy AND a Doctah (his mother would be so proud!)
Couldn’t help being reminded of this the other day when I looked out the window…..
An uncanny resemblance, don’t you think?
Of course my cowboy wasn’t waitin’ on them dogies to settle.
More like the sewer to settle. It’s a nasty job but no match for a cowboy.
Love it 😊.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary, love birds!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Have a wonderful, romantic, comfortable dinner tonight. Enjoy and relax this evening. You've both got it under control. I am so happy about your trip. I wonder what mysteries you'll see--whether day or night.
ReplyDeleteSo interesting, my great-grandfather John Clark, an immigrant during the Irish Potato Famine, was a tinker (traveling sales, medical man, Jack of all Trades) in New England in late 1800s.Also owned the orange grove called Orlando in the early 1900s but lost it to a massive freeze... would have have been sitting PRETTY!
