So Very Big
Washington
Big Country. The U.S. of A. (Plus Canada - but let’s not pretend we really think of it as a separate country) and it will take us a year to get around it.
requires
Big Trailer. So we don’t kill each other. The scenery had better be good and to be clear, I don’t do laundromats. Ever. So I’ll be needing some non-negotiable basic items: washer, dryer, dishwasher, fireplace, proper stove and fridge with proper freezer, and heated, massaging Lazy Boy recliner for my ever expanding ass.
requires
Big Mother Truck A Ford f350 Superduty diesel planet destroying monster. I know, me behind the wheel of pickup truck. Ridiculous. But no one is more surprised than me to find I absolutely love driving it. At least I do without a 15,000lb lumbering beast attached to it. Ask me tomorrow.
So glad you are coming our way! Happy trails.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteHi ho Silver, away!
ReplyDeleteVery exciting Pippa. From the sounds of it, you two are headed in a counter clockwise rotation, leaving Vancouver near the end of your tour. Best for last I suppose. Looking forward to reading about your adventure, and your eventual arrival.
ReplyDeleteYou’re right Rande. I’ll post the planned route soon, but yes, Vancouver and Tofino last ports of call.
DeleteSafe travels... can't wait to read your first post from the road.
ReplyDeleteCheers and thank you!
DeleteHappy Trails, Pippa. R-E-S-P-E-C-T for your gorgeous goddess of Willendorf hindquarters. Dan, we'll have Scotty beam you up from the roadside. Seriously, I admire your wanderlust and organizational skills. Looking forward to vicariously traveling with you.
ReplyDeleteCan’t wait to pull up in your driveway again (that sounds somehow rude, doesn’t it? Or is that my Martini Mind at work again?)
DeleteHit the road, Jack(s)! I have to laugh -- 11 years ago, Pippa, you became a trailer trash expert in red cowboy boots -- and now here you've designed your very own super-duper model and maybe you still have those boots. What an adventure! Can't wait for the first stopover!
ReplyDeleteYou know those red boots didn’t make it this time - mainly because I’m disgusted with the place I bought them and am trying not to pass that way again Lahweeze. Will make do I think.
DeleteSuper, Adventure awaits.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kevin. Keep the home fires burning for us!
DeleteAs a fellow NOP (Neurotically Organized Person) I feel your pain! You know what they say on the Old Broadway - crummy dress rehearsal, good opening night. Just don't say Good Luck and avoid the name of the Danish Play, and you'll move from rehearsal to the PLAY!
ReplyDeleteGood Lu...er, Break a leg! Not literally, and have a smashing opening night, Andi O
Thanks Andi. Wish that old saying held true. Opening night not a huge success but we’re still here!
DeleteSo much newness preceding you as you carve a path across the country--different skies, aromas, plants, massive geology, interesting characters, mysteries.
ReplyDeleteWish you were along for the ride Jim!
DeleteEnjoying your blog!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks - wish you were here too!
