Okay, so now what?
Washington
It was all going so swimmingly well.
Hopes were high. Moods were bright. Spouses looked fondly upon each other, knowing that all that planning and hard work was about to pay off.
My god, this thing is HUGE! Kudos to Dan for sticking the landing. It’s like docking the space station.
And then I got to say “Chocks Away Wing Commander!” and we had lift off.
Yeah, that’s me towing that beast. Made it all the way back to the parking lot at the Port Townsend fairgrounds where we were to practice backing up and parking (Dan doing the precision work again, with the aid of the nifty Trailer Backup Assist System (aka The Marriage Saver) and me admiring from the sidelines.
Yeah, well….. apologies for looking like I got run over by that 15,000lb beast but it’s been a VERY long day.
YOU ARE BRAVE. My husband wants me to learn how to pull our tad-smaller than yours beast. Reluctantly agreeing it's a good idea... one day. We've been pulling fifth wheels for 20 years now - oh, there are stories to tell! ;-) We're hitting the road next week for one last glamp voyage before winter hits! Wishing you the happiest and safest adventure!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, this is Suzy Carroll :-)
DeleteHope your trip went well Suzy! And you know i would have to be a whole lot braver to be a passenger on this trip!
Deleteright on, sister. keep the gin close at hand. all will be well. We'll see you somewhere on the east coast!
ReplyDeleteLobster! Have as much lobster as you can! Remember I spent most of my life in NH and I can tell you all the wonderful places to go!🦞
DeleteMargie!! Can’t wait to see you! Keep the gin still going!
DeleteTrailer Trash Mama getting (just slightly) trashed, lol, on first night -- first-day hopes dimmed but not out. Every explorer meets a few obstacles and at least you didn't spend your first night in a cheap motel with a paper bath mat ... Cheers to you two!
ReplyDeleteLove that Louise! Every Good Explorer Deserves Gin (a slightly altered scale)
DeleteA massive amount of preparation and work accomplished. Congratulations! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jim!
